Fashion is an ever-changing neophyte, meaning it’s never standing still in its translucent novelty. With a new season comes new fashion trends displayed and reinforced by the the likes of retail titans like Zara and Topshop. Animal prints, floral pastels, color-blocking platform heels…these are all iconic bolts and nuts of fashion that are reminiscent of seasons before us with modern twists on classic designs. Here are a few favorite pieces to work into my Fall wardrobe:
1.) CLASSIC BLACK
Preen
Riani
When in doubt, wear head-to-toe black! Play up a monochromatic color with eye-popping details like cat-eye shades and red lips. I love Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lip Shine which is a lightweight and moisturizing lipstick with shimmering pearls that add shine to any outfit.
2.) LEOPARD PRINT:
Givenchy
Burberry
Paying homage to the Queen…nonetheless, Alexander McQueen! Leopard prints effortlessly scream “RAWR!!”, so if being second-guessed as a feline creature is not up your alley then tone down that dramatic growl with a plain black T (or a simple metallic Peter Pan collar). Of course, if you feel a bit more daring, finish the ensemble with a pair of red skinnies. There you have it, a fierce ‘n feisty outfit!
3.) LACE
Burberry
Dolce & Gabbana
The ethereal beauty of these intertwining fabrics was echoed down Fall 14’s runways à la D&G and Valentino. Originally introduced in the 50’s in linen, silk, gold or silver threads, the modern-day design has more intricate takes like macramé and crocheted lace. Whether it’d be down the aisle or the bustling streets of NYC, lace adds femininity and class to any ensemble!
Black on black…leopard prints…lace. I wonder what’s in store next. Neoprene harem pants maybe? 🙂
