Cape Escape + GIVEAWAY!

Designers love to chaperon luxe layering trends this season and the verdict is in – style hunters can’t get enough of the cape effect! From dressy upper echelon to sartorial street style, the traditional topper got a modern makeover during Fashion Week when British “IT” girls Cara Delevingne and Suki Waterhouse donned the Burberry’s blanket poncho. From high fashion runway to MOD walkway, the cape trend is here to stay!

  1. I spy with my little eye…you rocking some glasses in the pictures. any tips for glasses-wearing gals like myself? I always feel un-stylish when I wear glasses! 🙂

  2. I’d probably style it under my comfiest white oversized blouse and a crazy print pants in clashing prints. ❤ Coupled with black ankle boots (no heel) and small little sling like a Rebecca Minkoff MAC mini. Very gorgeous capes. They would look good with anything really if you asked me.

    • That’s a really good idea I love oversized tops and it would be so trendy paired with patterned pants! I’ve seen the MAC bag on so many bloggers and it’s great in exuding that boho chic vibe. Thanks for the suggestion Carrie!

    • My my those are great choices! I like the CM Carly Cape for the leather trim, it really exudes a cool edgy vibe. But the Oatmeal Homestead Cape has a classic silhouette, and just like the description it’s the perfect balance between style and function! And the alpaca wool would keep you warm through the blistering cold winte. That’s my 2 cent’s worth! Let me know which one you decide on, I can’t wait to see them in your outfit post! Have a great one Lauren!! 🙂

I’d probably style the cape with a pair of black knee high boots, leggings and a nice chunky scarf !

  5. You look pretty with everything you wear, wow! Congrats D: (?)

BUT THEN AGAIN. Let’s see. I would probably wear this cape with black leggings/skinny jeans and beige brown spotted ankle boots. I’m very hesitant on wearing high heels with this weather, my feet would rebel on me :,)
Thanks for the opportunity and really great job with the blog~~

Ps: maybe I always repeat myself, but it’s so appreciable to see a blogger answer back to everyone who has left a message. I really admire that, not many do it.

    • Hi love, that’s a great look! I agree with you, with the winter weather in full bloom my safest bet in getting from spot A to spot B is flat boots! And thanks for your lovely comment, it really means a lot to me! Yes I appreciate each and every comment on my blog and it’s great to read people’s take on the trend I’m emulating and to hear their thoughts and ideas. I think blogging is a two way street where you give advice and take in advice 🙂 Thanks for your input dear, have a great one!
