2 (2 of 27)

What’s your favorite beauty product? A go-to eyeliner that won’t smudge or budge for 12 hours? A smoldering red lip that sets the tone for a double take? Whether you want to channel your feline alter-ego with a retro cat-eye or a modern day Grace Kelly with sultry red lips, I’ve rounded a selection of high end + drugstore cosmetics that get the job done. Right.

* Before I jump in, here are some outfit deets — to keep the look minimalistic, I paired this 3D Rose Top White from the LookBook Store (as featured in “Fashions Fade. Style Is Eternal”) with my triple-toned mini skirt from Zara and kept the accessories to the minimum with a gold bracelet and a petal-infused ring. Now let’s go.

  1. I love the Kate Moss Rimmel Lipsticks! Also that Eyeko mascara is the best. I just ran out of the sample I have and I will probably have to pick a full size up.

  2. I’ve been looking into the Burberry collection, but I’ve never had a chance to test their shadows. Are they velvety? All of their shades are soft and beautiful. Also, I’ve never heard of that scented polish from Revlon, I’m going to have to check it out!

    • Hi Andrea yes their shadows are highly pigmented and velvety. They really are a sight for sore eyes! The Revlon polish is lovely too, dries fast and leaves a nice scent depending on the color. Mine was violet! ❤

  3. That is an adorable cosmetic clutch! I would have to say, my go-to for mascara is still the classic ‘Maybelline great lash’ that you can find in any drug store. I also like EOS lip balm and have it in the strawberry (pink) flavor. I discovered YSL a year ago and am very impressed by their make-up line. The lip gloss colors are amazing and complimentary to all skin tones. I haven’t tried the YSL long-wear eyeliner though and now that you featured it here, it has motivated me to go check it out. Fantastic pictures and make-up tips!! Have a wonderful weekend dear! ~ Lauren http://www.ginnysclosetblog.com

    • Ah those are great suggestions I’m so happy you pointed them out! You know the Maybelline great lash mascara is definitely up there for me I usually alternate between that and Covergirl lashblast volume mascara. And I will have to try the YSL lip gloss! Their lipsticks are superb too great packaging and highly pigmented. Glad you liked this post Lauren looking forward to more of your posts to come! Have a happy weekend!! xoxo~

    • Hi Sera, don’t you just love how moisturizing the lip balm is, and how fun the packaging! Yes do give the Rimmel one a go, there’s a slight scent that some people find off-putting but at that price it’s worth a try! 🙂

  5. EOS lip balms are so cute! But I find them a bit bulky to fit into the side pouches of bags >.< Have you tried Blistex in the little pot size before? They're incredibly moisturizing and leave a tingling sensation on your lips 😀

    • Hi Shireen! Thanks for dropping by! I think it’s great in giving both that lengthening and volumizing effect, but to hold the curls I would recommend using an eyelash curler before applying to keep its shape 🙂
